Danielle LeBlanc is invested in promoting financial inclusion and community development. Her first encounter with microfinance was when she did an analysis of microfinance provision in the Philippines for Catholic Relief Services. Most recently she was Senior Director at the microfinance nonprofit, Grameen America. Ms. LeBlanc worked at LISC, where she provided capital loans to nonprofit organizations. Prior to that she provided grants for capacity building and capital projects while at the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone.
She has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from Brown University. She is a 2010 Leadership Newark Fellow. A volunteer DSHR Member and Coordinator with the Red Cross for four years, she was deployed to Gulfport, Mississippi to provide mass care after Hurricane Katrina. She is on the steering committee of WAM-NY, a professional organization dedicated to advancing women’s participation and leadership in the field of microfinance. She is also a member of Spring Bank’s Community Advisory Board.
