Why I joined WAM NY:
I first heard about Women Advancing Microfinance when I was a student at the University of Chicago. I had an informational interview with someone at ACCION in Chicago and she suggested I attend a WAM event, which was at ShoreBank. I'm originally from the NYC area, so when I graduated college and started building my network in NYC after college, I knew I had to join the NY chapter of WAM!
My experience with WAM:
WAM events are always full of great people. New York can be a tough city, but the environment of WAM events is always very supportive.
